India Repels Pakistan Drone Attack Involving 400 Turkish Drones, Retaliates with Precision Strikes

In a dramatic escalation along the western front, India successfully thwarted a large-scale infiltration attempt by Pakistan involving approximately 400 Turkey-made drones late last night. The attempted breach spanned 36 locations from Leh in Ladakh to Sir Creek in Gujarat. Indian armed forces neutralized many of these aerial threats using both kinetic weapons and electronic warfare measures.

Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army confirmed that Pakistan’s military violated Indian airspace multiple times in an effort to target strategic military assets. She also revealed that Pakistani forces fired heavy-caliber artillery across the Line of Control (LoC) in a coordinated attack aimed at testing India’s air defence capabilities and gathering intelligence.

Forensic investigations into the downed drones have begun, and early reports indicate that many of them were identified as Asisguard Songar models, manufactured in Turkey.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force disclosed that India swiftly responded by deploying its own armed drones to strike four Pakistani air defence positions. One of these precision strikes successfully destroyed an air defence radar installation inside Pakistan. Despite Pakistan’s unprovoked aggression, including artillery shelling and drone strikes that caused casualties among Indian troops, Indian retaliation inflicted substantial damage on Pakistani military assets.

Wing Commander Singh further criticized Pakistan for keeping its civilian airspace open during the attacks, accusing Islamabad of using civilian aircraft as human shields to deter Indian counterstrikes.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri also addressed the media, condemning Pakistan’s denial of the attacks and labeling it as another example of Islamabad’s duplicity. He accused Pakistan of deliberately targeting religious sites, including temples, convents, and Gurdwaras, calling it a new low in their military conduct. He emphasized that the Indian strike on the Jaish-e-Mohammed headquarters in Bahawalpur was a direct response to Pakistan’s continuous support for terror, referencing the brutal murder of journalist Daniel Pearl.

In light of the heightened security threats, Misri announced the temporary suspension of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. He also stated that India will raise concerns regarding Pakistan’s actions during the upcoming IMF Board meeting and will present its views on the proposed bailout package for Pakistan.
