In IPL Cricket, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated table-topper Rajasthan Royals by one run in a thrilling encounter in Hyderabad last night.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the home team scored 201 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Nitish Kumar with unbeaten 76 runs off 42 balls and Travis Head with 58 runs off 42 balls made valuable contributions to help Hyderabad record its fifth 200-plus score of the season.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals failed to achieve the target, falling short by only a run. The victory came on the last ball of the match, when Bhuvaneshwar Kumar of Sunrisers Hyderabad took the wicket of Rovman Powell, as Rajasthan required only two runs to win the match.

From Rajasthan, Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 67 runs off 40 balls, while young sensation Riyan Parag played a fabulous innings of 77 runs in 49 balls.

Even after the defeat, Rajasthan Royals have maintained their first spot in the points table. On the other hand, the win propelled Sunrisers Hyderabad to fourth position, behind second-place Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants.
