Air quality turns to ‘severe’ category in Delhi

It seems that Delhi government is not serious about controlling Air Pollution.  As per System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the air quality reached ‘severe’ category with the Air Quality Index (AQI) touching 461 on Friday morning.

According SAFAR data, Delhi University, Pusa Road, Lodhi Road, Mathura Road, IIT-Delhi and Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal-3) recorded air quality in the severe category with an AQI of 420, 430, 424, 521, 416, 424 respectively.

The SAFAR forecast said that the AQI will be in the ‘very poor’ to ‘severe’ category on Friday. The AQI is expected to be in the ‘severe’ category on January 16 and 17.
