New Traffic Alert by Delhi traffic Police in wake of farmer’s protest

In a Tweet, Delhi Traffic police notifiy that the “Traffic is heavy in the carriageway from Peeragarhi towards Punjabi Bagh due to checking by local police at Ordnance Depot. Kindly avoid the stretch.”

The security has been tightened as thousands of Punjab farmers have moved close to the city on Thursday.

Delhi traffic police released a series of tweets asking the commuters to avoid many routes.

“Tikri Border is completely closed for traffic movements by local police. Traffic intending to go towards Haryana is also closed. All motorists are advised to avoid this route in view of the protest by Kishan Sangharsh committee,” tweeted Delhi traffic police.
