Apple’s latest iPhone software update, iOS 26, is now widely available—and not everyone is thrilled with the changes. Since September, iPhone users have been gradually receiving the update, which introduces a refreshed interface and several new tools powered by Apple Intelligence.
Many users are now seeing iOS 26.1 on their devices, especially those who have enabled automatic updates. Released in November, this version brought noticeable visual changes, including Apple’s new “Liquid Glass” design language, along with upgrades across core apps. Early reports indicate new options such as setting alarms for reminders, offline lyrics support in Apple Music, and additional enhancements for AirDrop and CarPlay. Some users are already testing these features through Apple’s beta program, though the update has not yet been released to the public.
For users who want to install the latest version, Apple recommends connecting the iPhone to a power source and Wi-Fi network before updating. The update can be found by opening Settings, selecting General, and tapping Software Update, where users can check availability and storage requirements before downloading.
