Passport Office in Noida: Now Residents in Noida will no longer have to travel to Ghaziabab and queue up all the day to apply for passport. In a relief for the residents, Noida’s first passport office will be operational from Wednesday. Set up at head post office in Sector 19, the facility will be inaugurated by Union culture and tourism minister Mahesh Sharma.

The office has been set up under the central government scheme of utilizing all head post offices (HPO) in the country as Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK).

The opening of the facility will save time for the residents of Noida who otherwise had to go to Ghaziabad to avail passport facilities.

All applications related to new passports, corrections, change of address and others will now be handled at Noida POPSK. The applicants will have to take a prior appointment through www.passportindia.gov.in.

One verification officer from Ghaziabad regional passport office will be present at the centre. Two staff from Sector 19 head post office will be deployed full time for document collection and TCS will provide the IT support.
